CT invests in Analog Way's Aquilon RS6 to elevate live event production
Creative Technology Group (CT), a NEP Group company, invests in several Aquilon RS6 systems from Analog Way for live event production.
CT has a history of using Analog Way equipment dating back to its first systems designed to support live events.. The company already has Aquilon RS4 systems in its Sweetwater Film studio & Entertainment, together with Aquilon C+ units.
Jay Gonzalez, president of Analog Way for America, remember that “Analog Way maintains a strong and long-lasting collaboration with CT, and we are pleased to announce that CT has added Aquilon RS6 systems to its inventory. CT has been a fundamental collaborator in the development of Aquilon, and we greatly value your input as we move to strengthen Analog Way's leadership position in the live events market.”.
“Aquilon represents a breakthrough for the live events market”, states Stephen Gray, Senior Vice President of NEP Live Events. “We started talking to Analog Way before the pandemic about how to make their live event systems better and smarter., and we contribute ideas about the graphical user interface (GUI) and Aquilon EDID management. Nowadays, Aquilon is recognized in the industry as an exceptional product family for large-scale display signal management and distribution.. Analog Way has really raised the bar with these systems”.
Larry May, CT project engineer, highlights that in the development of Aquilon, “Analog Way was very focused and involved with the sector; their team really put all their effort into creating a great line of products. Aquilon offers great reliability and has the best climbers on the market; They are the only systems that support DP 1.4 and are compatible with SMPTE ST 2110 for advanced networking and broadcasting”.
May notes that the RS6's expanded capabilities allow it to a single system can manage a sophisticated show on a large scale that previously required multiple units from other brands. “We can make a show that previously required three competing systems with a single RS6 at a higher resolution with DP 1.4. Now we have more resources in one box”, points out.
Flexibility and versatility
“Using a single system also means “installation and configuration are much faster.”, which is a real advantage, especially with big shows that happen one after another”, comments May. “Aquilon is also easy to handle and highly responsive., which is key for live events”.
Gray adds that “Aquilon is ideal for larger, more complicated projects with logistical challenges and/or time constraints thanks to its flexibility and versatility., as well as the ability to pre-program it before arriving at the event location”.
CT's new RS6s have been routinely used for a wide variety of jobs, including product launches, scenarios for keynote conferences, corporate conferences, entertainment events and television and film productions.
“We love participating in the dialogue about the development of Aquilon”, Gray acknowledges.. “The Analog Way team is easy to work with and highly values our input.. In many ways, Analog Way's culture is very similar to ours. Their level of attention and care matches who we are as a company.”.
Larry May looks forward to “what will happen next with Aquilon: Analog Way has not finished developing these products. We are now working closely with them to integrate SMPTE ST 2110 in the corporate environment”.
