Researchers at Keio University (Japan) have presented an interactive poster that reacts when receiving a kiss. This is possible with the inclusion of sensors that are capable of detecting the proximity between a person and the screen., reacting with the expression of various gestures.

A group of researchers from Keio University (Japan) has developed an interactive system that “reacts” when kissed by a person. The system works this way: It has ultrasound sensors that detect the distance between the person and the screen. When we approach, A sequence of moving images is activated that imitates a face in a kissing position and when we move away, se ruboriza.

For now, The system only produces visual changes but it is not ruled out to complement it with technologies such as including the shampoo essence of the person's hair, lemon flavor on lips, or even a voice that whispers “I love you”, that facilitate interaction. An iPad application is already planned and other visual recognition mechanisms could be incorporated through a camera or using a light sensor that reacts to the shadows that are created when the user approaches.

The developers are now working on how to use this idea commercially.. It could be used as a promotional method by artists to publicize a film, musical album or other type of paraphernalia and would fulfill the fantasy of his admirers, proudly boasting that they kiss Brad Pitt or Scarlett Johansson at every opportunity.
