The Finnish company Nokia has presented two new smartphones, the Lumia 820 and the Lumia 920, which includes the Nokia City Lens augmented reality system, the latest addition to the Finnish firm's GPS location tool. Pointing the camera at a street, The app offers on-screen information about restaurants, shops or hotels, superimposed on building surfaces.

Nokia has presented the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820, its first smartphones based on Windows Phone 8. The device will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, PureView technology, screen 4,5 inches with resolution “superior a la HD”, wireless battery charging and access to Nokia City Lens geolocation services.

Thanks to the use of this Nokia GPS location tool, by pointing the terminal's camera towards a city street, Nokia City Lens offers on-screen information about restaurants, stores, hotels and much more, directly superimposed on building surfaces, to explore like this, the surroundings in the most intuitive way.

Nokia City Lens is the beginning of a new augmented reality experience that also optimizes Nokia Maps, by enabling movement between map view and augmented reality vision, helping users to check the address and surroundings.
