Modernizing its facilities and attracting visitors was the objective of the Boulder Station Hotel Casino to undertake an AV project that included a network of more than 150 displays and many other BrightSign media players.
During 2013, Boulder Station Hotel Casino has updated its audiovisual infrastructure to maintain its competitive advantage in the Las Vegas area. This establishment, member of the Station Casinos chain, wanted to modernize its appearance to attract the most demanding travelers and take advantage of Full HD screens to entertain its guests with innovative means. This transformation has included a wide range of multimedia players BrightSign XD that have been integrated into the network that has been installed with more than 150 screens of Samsung.
“Upgrading an AV infrastructure in a hotel and casino is a large project as you have to address big challenges and address multiple individual facilities in different areas., like play areas, those of the hotel itself and those of the restaurant, all at the same time. The one that could be done, with minimal disruption to day-to-day activities, “It has been an achievement and demonstrates the versatility of our XD players”, explica Jeff Hastings, CEO de BrightSign.
The project pursued three objectives. First of all, the hotel and casino, two differentiated areas that seek to attract customers and encourage them to stay longer and return often. In second place, An installation of this magnitude requires solid tools to simplify content management and control. Y, finally, The casino needs to offer content from multiple sources (Internet, satellite television, local broadcast television, etc), so it was necessary for all devices to be technically capable and compatible.
The company in charge of carrying out this project has been the integrator National Technology Associates and has used to carry it out 150 reproductores BrightSign XD1230, that are connected to the same screens that are in the facilities. These media players are networked to be able to carry HD content and live TV via DirecTV. The screens used are 17, 58 y 70 inches of Samsung's professional line.
Challenges and solutions
