Eyevis projectors optimize resolution in Skyguide training simulator

The Tosim Blue simulation tower in Switzerland provides a higher resolution image with sharper, brighter colors thanks to eyevis projectors. A project that has allowed us to improve the training experience of flight controllers in a 360º immersive environment.

Eyevis y Antycip Simulation have completed the upgrade of the Skyguide air control tower simulation center in Switzerland. The project consisted of modernizing the Tosim Blue simulator in order to optimize the system that allows training sessions for the country's air traffic controllers., y, for it, I needed equipment that offered higher resolution, with a more impressive color and shine.

With more than 600 people training with the equipment, every year, The improvements introduced help Skyguide to more effectively cover basic and advanced training for controllers who manage more 3.000 daily flights through its airspace.

To achieve these improvements, they have been installed 14 eyevis ESP-LWXT-1000 Led projectors that are used to combine an image of 360 degrees and 9,5 meters in diameter. This simulation shows a series of national and international airports and airfields as they can be seen from their respective air traffic control towers..

The projects that have been installed in the Tosim Blue simulator require almost no maintenance due to the cluster-LED light source and the innovative heat-pipe cooling system.. With a mean time between failures of about 60.000 hours, These equipment need to be replaced less frequently, reducing operating costs and loss of downtime productivity produced by maintenance processes.

The project carried out in the Tosim Blue is similar to the one already carried out by eyevis and Antycip Simulation in 2014 in the Tosim Yellow simulation tower.
