With a lightweight design and wide range of rigging options, d&b offers the V7P and V10P point source loudspeakers as a solution for applications demanding high sound pressure levels with full bandwidth capabilities in a single enclosure solution.

DB speakers V7P and V10P

The V7P and V10P point source loudspeakers d&b Audiotechnik incorporate a wide range of rigging, to provide maximum flexibility, in addition to having constant directivity control down to low frequencies.

These speakers have been created from the passive design of 3 d-Series V-Series Line Array Module Tracks&b audiotechnik and house two 10” motors in a dipole arrangement with a mid-frequency motor (MF) 8”, mounted on the back and connected to a dual chamber trumpet.

D&B V7P y V10PThe openings in this trumpet design create another dipole around the single, centrally mounted 1.4” output compression driver with a constant directivity trumpet.. This feature maximizes performance to size ratio, because it makes almost the entire baffle block emit.

The V7P and V10P loudspeakers offer dispersion characteristics of 75° x 40° and 110° x 40°, respectively. All components are arranged around the central axis of the box to produce a perfectly symmetrical scattering pattern. Due to the dipole arrangement of low frequency motors (LF), broadband horizontal dispersion control is maintained up to 350 Hz. Swivel trumpet and wide range of rigging options simplify mounting orientation.

The bass-reflex design of the V7P and V10P uses an advanced vented low-frequency arrangement (LF) whereby the frequency response extends from 59 Prophet is sick 18 kHz and offers flexibility as a standalone solution.

Subwoofer V-GSUB

D&B V-GSUBAs a partner of the V7P and V10P teams, d&b has also announced the V-GSUB high-performance cardioid subwoofer for above-ground stack applications..

This subwoofer requires only one amplifier channel and shares the same acoustic performance, case design and motor layout that the V-SUB, which consists of an 18" motor, in a forward-facing bass-reflex design, and a 12” motor in a two-chamber bandpass system that emits to the rear.

The cardioid dispersion pattern resulting from this motor arrangement rejects energy backwards and reduces excitation of the reverberant field at low frequencies.. The V-GSUB is provided with skids and recesses to stack and prevent unwanted movement when placed with the V7P or V10P boxes..

Vi7P, Vi10P and Vi-GSUB

D&B V7P V10P y V-GSUBVi7P boxes, Vi10P and Vi-GSUB are installation versions of these versatile loudspeakers and offer a visually discreet cabinet design and installation-specific rigging systems. Special color finishes (SC) and resistance to inclement weather (WR) guarantee that they can adapt without any permanently integrated application.

These point source loudspeakers are an alternative to smaller line array configurations, especially considering its lightweight design and wide range of rigging options.

“The V7P and V10P use an advanced trumpet-loaded midrange section, providing remarkable mid-frequency sensitivity. This mid-frequency performance (MF), especially in the vocal range, This is where these compact V Series boxes stand out the most.. This endless vocal dynamic range makes them the perfect boxes for applications demanding high sound pressure levels with full bandwidth capabilities in a single box solution.”, explains WernerBayer, Product Director of d&b.
