FBT digital sound technology and Sennheiser microphones for Gibraltar Cathedral

Santa María Coronada now has an advanced digital sound system so that its faithful can follow the acts of worship with optimal quality.

The loudspeakers of the Italian manufacturer FBT, along with the microphone, both wireless and wired, of the brand Sennheiser (brands represented in the Spanish market by Magnetron, who has provided their support during the pre-sale phase, engineering development and project start-up), forms the digital sound system installed in the cathedral of Saint Mary Crowned in Gibraltar.

Specifically, Twelve digital columns have been distributed to provide sound throughout the entire surface of the cathedral., with angle and aperture control, of FBT model DLA 804A.

In the choir and to offer return in the presbytery, a two-channel power stage -MPU has been installed 2120 with independent control-, and two passive CLA columns 604 for each zone.

The mixing and processing of the different audio sources is carried out with two FBT digital processors of the DMM model. 8008.

The installation is completed with the EW wireless microphone system 100 G4-835, three gooseneck microphones with ME36 capsule and one model E 835, all developed by Sennheiser.
