Croatia's Pula-Pola leisure complex has invested in a Work Pro audio system to install in its pool area. The goal is for customers to be able to enjoy the music while swimming and be able to clearly hear any public safety notices..

Located in the city of Pula, the pool is a meeting point for the local community and regularly organises events such as swimming lessons, aquagym, competitions and parties for children. As voice intelligibility was a key requirement of the new audio system, the installation company Iskratrade bet on the products of Work Pro, installation division, pro audio and lighting of Equipson.

"Wall-to-wall cladding and other hard materials make swimming pools one of the most challenging acoustic environments for an installation company.. In addition to reverberation and echoes, we had to take into account the ambient noise caused by people talking, Talk, splash and, in general, have a good time. The directivity of Work Pro speakers, combined with a good location, allowed us to offer a system that sounded good in all areas of the pool”, comments Robert Wolf, CEO of Iskratrade.

The system installed in Pula includes 15 WFS speakers 10 CX, which were chosen for their directivity and their ability to withstand moisture.

“In an environment with a swimming pool where the air has a high moisture content, products that were water resistant were needed. These fiberglass speakers are specially designed for spaces and installations with humidity and have a waterproof protective fabric that covers their steel grilles., which made them suitable for this project", Wolf continues.

The system also includes an eight-output WSE81 power sequencer and current distributor, that allows you to connect multiple devices and implement a startup sequence; a Digiline MX processor, which can automatically handle functions such as preste changes and channel mutes; an amplifier of 4 PA4120 channels; an SPS8 paging station of 8 Areas, fully programmable, which serves as a paging microphone and as an audio transmitter and can also act as an alarm manager.

This equipment is joined by WRD handheld wireless microphones 255, that allow to eliminate noise; a WPE 26N speaker management system for the pool area; Zenith amplifiers and a Club Master mixer 1, that are hosted in a mobile rack.

The entire system is managed by WorkCAD Designer software, that controls audio over TCP/IP and USB, and a WNC Ethernet programmable wall controller 1 that controls input sources and volume.
