The play had lighting by Luis Perdiguero in its world premiere during the Mérida International Classical Theater Festival, who has used the GIO console to control lights.

The recent premiere in Mérida of Antigone, the new work by Víctor Ullate inspired by the classic of the poet Sophocles, has had Eduardo Lao as artistic director; Luis Perdiguero as illuminator, and with Juanjo H. Trigueros as light operator.

The peculiarity of this story, one of the main greek dramas, required an aesthetic and lighting that represented both the fury of the king Creon like the contradiction of Antigone and his punishment. In its staging, Perdiguero has done an excellent lighting job to highlight the tension and different emotions, which have been accompanied by a powerful scenography of the dancers created by Curt Allen Wilmer.

For this high-level dramatic work, a console was required in which both programming and operation during the work were simple., but at the same time it allowed you to get the most out of the installed luminaires, achieving intense games of light and color, for which the manufacturer's EOS family GIO console has been chosen ETC, brand distributed in Spain by Stonex.

Thanks to its versatility, GIO is a table especially suitable for large assemblies, with a large work area, two touch screens and backlit buttons to guide the operator while the rest of the theater is dark.

Besides, allows the integration of up to three external monitors. Its size has made it the favorite table for large touring productions: offers powerful control in a compact body that allows you to transport it without much effort.
