The televisions LG Electronics exceed the strict standards set by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) to define the next generation of 8K Ultra HD products and services, which guarantees that the user can view content four times more realistic than a 4K TV and 16 times more than HDTV.

The official 8K Ultra HD seals have been created by CTA in the United States to establish a standard that helps consumers more easily identify products that meet the minimum 8K Ultra HD requirements.

Guidelines in measuring contrast modulation (CM) establish that the resolution must meet a minimum MC threshold of the 50% along with at least 33 million active pixels to qualify a TV as 8K UHD.

Other industry regulatory bodies, such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), They also use contrast modulation as an industry benchmark.

As of January 2020, Each LG 8K TV will display the 8K UHD seal awarded by CTA. The new LG models for the 2020 will maintain leadership in image quality by being the only manufacturer to offer Real 8K televisions in two categories: OLED (LG Signature OLED 8K) y LCD (LG 8K NanoCell TV). All of them guaranteeing CM values in a range of 90%.

Tests carried out by Intertek, global product testing and certification organization, verified that the LG NanoCell 8K TV 75 inches exceeds the CM measurement requirement set by ICDM, offering a 90% of CM horizontally and 91% CM vertically.
