TCL Aged Care installs creative digital signage with INFiLED

At the reception of the offices of the Australian company TLC Aged Care innovative digital platforms have been installed VuePix of INFiLED to welcome clients and visitors. The project in this company, which focuses its activity on assistance and services to older people, began as part of a major upgrade to its Saint Kilda Road offices and facilities (Melbourne - Australia).

At the company Lumicom has been the company in charge of designing and delivering a high-impact digital signage system for the reception and lobby area.

TLC Aged Care has been working with the Lumicom team for approximately ten years for all your audiovisual and communications needs.. The team knew that this project would require a high-level end-to-end solution, which would have to be customized to fit the existing environment.

“We wanted to provide a new customer experience for the lobby area that would enhance the space”, explains Scott Summers, Engineering Services Manager at Lumicom. “A high-impact digital signage system, to be used not only for branding purposes, but also to display artistic and instructional content as part of visitor registration. The challenge presented to us was to be able to adapt and customize the solution to the very specific and fixed conditions on the site”.

The Lumicom team worked closely with the VuePix INFiLED to design two digital platforms in the form of creative curved Led screens.

The curved screen 13 meters long with a pixel pitch of 2,5 mm has been installed around the ‘bulkhead’ with a concave radius. The second wraps around the column in the center of the vestibule, with a radius of 360˚ and a pixel size of 1,8 mm.

“Making the curvature of the fine-pixel display follow the contours of existing structures was a challenge.”. When we spoke to the experts at VuePix, They came up with an easy solution in the form of their semi-flex digital series, and it was a perfect choice for this project”, comments Scott. “We paid a lot of attention to every detail when designing this custom solution and seeing that everything fit together well”.

Lumicom provided a control system Scala customized for this project, incorporating your own system Nodel to trigger content switching when visitors approach the login station. Scala media players connected to processors Novastar to optimize content.

The result is a completely customized digital signage solution, that fits perfectly into the space and provides a high-level customer experience for all who visit TLC Aged Care facilities.
