Matia and Ikusi join forces to develop technological and interactive rehabilitation services
The San Sebastian company Ikusi and the Grupo Matia Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the development of technology-based services that improve the quality of life of people affected by chronic pathologies and interactive rehabilitation services.
The Matia Foundation, dedicated to providing social and health care services to the elderly in Guipuzcoa, and the new technology company from Guipuzcoa see have signed an agreement that seeks to generate services adapted to the needs of older people with chronic diseases. The agreement was signed by Gerardo Amunarriz, general director of the Matia Group Foundation, and Germán Ormazabal, director general of Ikusi.
The signed agreement will be developed in several fundamental areas. On the one hand, Its objective is the development and validation of new technological-based solutions and services., contributed by Ikusi, to improve the quality of life of people affected by chronic pathologies. Like for example: teleassistance, non-intrusive monitoring, telerehabilitation, education and communication with communities of caregivers and family members. Besides, will allow the development of interactive rehabilitation services for the hospital environment.
All of this will allow Ikusi to boost the growth of its activity in the health and health information and communication technologies market., with the help of the Matia Foundation. Ikusi pursues design, develop and generate technology-based services aimed at segments of the management of chronic pathologies and healthy aging that serve to improve the sustainability of the healthcare system and the effectiveness of its managers.
