The outdoor advertising company has begun the implementation of smart and digital urban furniture in 34 cities of Hauts-de-Seine (Hauts of the Seine), after being awarded the contract by the Department Council of this area.

With a duration of fifteen years, the contract that JCDecaux has won in this important French department, located west of Paris and with 1,6 million inhabitants, consider the design, supply, installation, maintenance and operation of 108 urban furniture units.

Specifically, This project has 36 digital street furniture units, located at the entrances of the Departmental Council, that will be dedicated to the official communication of this institution, as well as data of interest in real time in the area, like time, temperature, traffic, etc.

JCdecaux Hauts-de-SeineTo this are added 72 large format smart digital street furniture units, equipped with Ultra HD LCD screens 86 inches, with high image quality outdoors, which will be distributed in strategic and high-traffic areas of this area to offer both real-time local information and advertising, providing useful information for audiences and exceptional visibility for advertisers.

According to company data, one third of the installation project has already been completed (32 units), and the rest will be ready in the summer of this year. Besides, It is the first time that a Departmental Council in France has launched a digital street furniture project, that incorporates useful and contextualized information live, to have closer communication with its citizens.

Jean-Charles Decaux, president of the Executive Board and co-director of JCDecaux, has expressed its satisfaction for “having started the deployment of our street furniture in the department of Hauts-de-Seine, which will improve our network in this area and expand national presence. Our street furniture offers digital innovation, quality and sustainable development”.

This important digital street furniture project “will also place the Hauts-de-Seine department at the forefront in key areas of La Défense, Neuilly-sur-Seine, La Garenne-Colombes, Courbevoie and Levallois-Perret. This new contract represents a decisive step in the digital evolution of our offer, expanding it to 34 new cities.
