Clear Channel has installed its first solar-powered advertising marquee on London's Waterloo Bridge. For its design it has used an LED lighting system custom developed for this project by Zeta Specialist Lighting. “This is a sustainable development experience that we hope will continue in other applications”, comments David Huckerby, Clear Channel Development Director

Zeta Specialist Lighting has used its Bespoke Solar Signage Kit for this project, a bespoke solution for lighting outdoor totem poles and kiosks that includes flexible and discreet photovoltaic solar panels, an embedded LED panel, un Light Guide Panel, the PS800 control system, long lasting batteries and, when needed, PIR motion sensors.

This canopy is equipped with a management system that detects the amount of energy it has generated and controls the lighting. In this way, It is capable of automatically dimming the lights if power is low or there is daylight.
