DiGiCo presents its new Quantum338 console to the Spanish market
Greater processing options, Larger, brighter PCAP multi-touch screens, Visual feedback and a totally new work surface architecture define this new equipment from the British brand.
The new Quantum338 console from DiGiCo has made its official presentation in the Spanish market, specifically the past 22 January in Madrid with its distributor RMS Pro Audio, to showcase its new design features and improvements that offer maximum flexibility, on a smaller format console, and the same speed of operation that users of the brand have trusted.
Quantum338 is based on seventh generation FPGAs and includes 128 input channels, con 64 buses and an array of 24×24, all with full processing. The console has a new dark mode option and three touch screens, 17” and 1.000 brightness nits.
Besides, This new DiGiCo console features seventy individual channel TFT screens. The Quantum chassis has touch-sensitive faders (of 38×100 mm) arranged in three blocks of twelve benches, to which two dedicated faders are added and assignable by the user, each with high resolution measurement.
This control surface offers greater connectivity and audio performance thanks to ADC and DAC conversion of 32 bits Ultimate Stadius, built-in as standard in the Quantum338 console, along with six or three redundant Madi connections, Dual DMI slots and a UB Madi USB recording interface.
Another of its characteristics is that the Mustard processing, Spice Rack, Nodal Process and True Solo, all of them presented last year for Quantum 7, They are also implemented as standard in the new Quantum338.
In detail, Mustard is a set of strips processing that works in conjunction with standard Quantum channel processing.
Each strip allows you to choose between two Pre-Amp Modellers, a four band equalizer (including filters all-pass), four different compressor models and a gate/ducker. Quantum338 is equipped with 36 Mustard mono strips that can be used on any type of channel.
For your part, Spice Rack supports native plugin-style FPGA processing options, which allows you to build a rack of up to eight insertable processors. The first of them is Chilli 6 -a six-band compressor that allows full control of all parameters, including the exclusive and patented DiGiCo pro release shape control-, that is suitable to give shape to you and instruments, as well as to focus on problematic frequencies.
